The trailer for The Four Treasures of Eirean by Ali Isaac is a decent trailer that gets me into the book. It gives me a great idea of what the book is about and where it will take me. I tend to like fantasy fiction and this trailer speaks to me. It has good quality sounds that makes me think of the past while also providing quality images and good clear text. I liked how it gave enough of the intro away, but leaves the future and ask some questions of you.
About Ali Issac
She grew up on a Greek island with only her books, sister, dog and donkey for company. She was always reading, often with three or four books on the go at once. She first read Watership Down when she was nine years old. As a child, her favourite book was Tristan and Iseult by Rosemary Sutcliffe, she loved the illustrations by Victor Ambrus, too. She then made the leap into Fantasy with the Belgarion series by David Eddings, and never looked back.
She began writing her first novel at the age of fourteen. She never finished it, but it lurks hopefully in the bottom of her desk, patiently awaiting the day when she brings it back to life.
Now, she is a wife, mother, and owner of Ireland’s most lunatic labradoodle. She is fortunate to live in beautiful, rural Ireland, but must confess to the occasional Greek escape to enjoy a little Mediterranean sun and cuisine.
She was inspired to write The Four Treasures of Eirean by her daughter, Carys. Like Conor, she cannot walk or talk, but Issac is convinced she can understand far more than she is able to indicate .
Issac also wanted to share with others Ireland’s many astounding ancient sites, and the characters and legends associated with them. She is currently working on The Fenian King, Book 2 in The Tir na Nog trilogy. The final book is called The Three Waves of Eirean.
